The company was established in 1968 at its current location in Weiterstadt near Darmstadt. At that time, it was the first company worldwide to focus solely on the production of modern, environmentally friendly expansion joints. KOREMA® expansion joints connect the most varied piping. They distinguish themselves through the consistency of the medium that flows through them. This can be gaseous, damp, wet or a condensate. The concentrations of the media also vary. Whether containing dust, acid, solvent, solids or condensate, or at risk of explosion – KOREMA® expansion joints are manufactured so as to be suitable for all uses. The flexible connections absorb the movement of piping in all dimensions: Axial compression and stretching, lateral displacement, torsion. This is how KOREMA® soft material compensators connect piping and acoustically and thermally isolate it.

BURRE HYDRAULIK GMBH

Founded in 1964 by Karl-Heinz Burre (Dipl.-Ing.), Burre Hydraulik began operations in 1965. The original idea of an engineering office was quickly rejected and its own small manufacturing facilities began. The first developments comprised control valves for hydraulic excavators, explosion-protected solenoid valves and diaphragm valves. In 1972, the company moved into the newly constructed production hall on the site on which Burre Hydraulik's headquarters still stand today. A 540 m² production area allowed more space for putting the founder's innovative ideas into practice. Burre Hydraulik thus designed and produced items including explosion-proof solenoid valves for the refuelling systems of diesel locomotives belonging to Deutsche Bahn. But Karl-Heinz Burre realised quickly that the future lay in hydraulic control systems and equipment, and he orientated the company accordingly. He accepted the challenge here and often entered uncharted technical territory. He therefore had a significant influence on the automation of machinery for the textile industry. But he was also successful in other technical areas. For example, he developed an automatic scuttle for seagoing vessels. The production area also grew consistently in line with this development, and is now over 5000 m².

Sinus GmbH was founded in 2002 in Mönsheim, Swabia. In January 2012, Mr Bassem Bouhlel purchased Sinus GmbH. Since then, Mr Bouhlel has been the Managing Director of Sinus GmbH. In 2012, immediately after the business handover of Sinus GmbH, the company headquarters moved from Mönsheim to Kerpen. At the end of 2014, the company headquarters was relocated again – from Kerpen to Hamburg. That's when a storage area was also added to the office spaces, so that commissioning of orders could take place from a single source. Due to the growing goods turnover, the company headquarters was relocated in 2021 to the strategically optimised site in Bargteheide, where the storage area was expanded by more than 2000 m².
