SMO was founded in August 2005 by Steffen Mohr. We started as a small metal construction company (SMO Metall- und Anlagenbau). We quickly discovered tube bending and have been steadily growing ever since. Everyone in our company has a hands-on approach, including the boss. In this way, no one loses their touch with the materials and machines. We build, design, calculate and manufacture for you. So you don't need to bend over backwards, we'll do that for you. CNC-controlled rotary draw bending and free-form bending for simple and more elaborate bent structures in steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Diameters of between 10 mm and 60.3 mm available. Workpiece lengths of up to 6000 mm! We manufacture for the following industries: Metal construction trade. Service providers. Manufacturer. Private customers. We produce throughout Germany, as well as for our European neighbours. We have been supporting and serving many of our customers from the very beginning.

We specialise in machining stainless-steel turned parts. Special materials like Hastelloy, Inconel, Duplex, etc. are no problem for our production line. Our production facilities enable us to forge and upset stainless steel. This brings the advantage of working with less material and keeping the costs for material usage lower. Our greatest core competence is thread rolling, an area in which we have more than 30 years of experience. Our production is highly automated and designed for series production, but individual parts or small series can be included in the production plan at any time. We can produce turned parts from a length of approx. 80 mm up to 6000 mm. In terms of diameter, our range starts at 10 mm and we can process a maximum of 600 mm. Founded in 1977, the medium-sized company Phiesel GmbH is an highly modern turning plant that manufactures precision-turned parts and milled parts from a multitude of materials for clients in various industries. Our expertly trained employees, who number around 90 in all, produce turned parts in batches as small as 20–30 units up to large-scale production with batch sizes of 6.5 million parts. At our turning plant, in addition to the manufacturing of precision-turned parts within the permitted tolerances, we also produce fully assembled product components up to a diameter of 160 mm – made from steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium or brass. Our long-standing customers from all over the world for whom we produce precision-turned and milled parts predominantly come from the automotive industry (chassis and connection parts), appliance industry/white goods (drive elements, pump components, ventilation elements), and valve and machine/gear manufacturing.

Precision and high-precision turned parts are used in many different areas, such as medical technology, aviation or optics. Precision turned parts such as threaded pins are used, for example, in dental technology. Apart from manufacturing your turned parts, we offer you different post-processing options including custom packaging solutions. A certified quality management system ensures that our high-precision turned parts are of first-class quality. We will also be happy to professionally implement your requirements with regard to very small turned parts. Our parts are manufactured using Swiss precision machines which guarantee top quality – turned parts with diameters from 0.2 mm to a maximum of 16 mm. Thanks to a high-frequency spindle, we are able to drill very small holes (with diameters of up to 0.02 mm) with speeds of up to 80, 000 rpm. Thread whirling/thread chasing up to a thread size of S0.3. Smaller sizes available upon request. Diameter tolerances with the highest precision in the µ range. We are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 13458.
