Pretreatment systems 1976 - Development and deployment of the world’s first plasma machine with open jet electrodes (Arcojet®) for treating plastic moulded parts; this works with electric plasma. Pretreatment systems 1975 - Production of the pretreatment machines begins using high-frequency corona. Pretreatment systems 1974 - Fritz Bloss founded an independent commercial agency.

This means that our machine knives remain sharp for a long time and produce a perfect cutting result. It goes without saying that you cannot benefit from having the best steel quality if hardening and the tempering process are not tailored to the steel quality in question. Our decades of experience at Maier-Unitas, in cooperation with our partners, ensures the best results. We are always happy to advise interested parties with respect to designing cutting geometry and selecting material. Using our decades of experience in the production of machine knives, we have already analysed machine knife tasks in cooperation with many customers (including at their premises) and improved existing knives. This way of working makes it possible to design optimal machine knives together.

The company was founded in 1986 as a sole trader business by Edgar Hohmann, who was trained as an industrial engineer. Such was the company's growth that he very soon needed more space and had to rent an entire hall, where operations continued until the current production site was built in 1992. In 2011, the company was passed on to the second generation, ably led by Managing Directors Karin Hohmann-Riecke (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing., MSc.) and Stefan Hohmann (master craftsman, business manager). In 2020, the existing production hall was extended to increase production and manufacture capacities. The company presently employs 18 people and operates 10 CNC turning machines, a milling centre, a laser marking machine, Trowal machines and many other finishing and measuring machines. Furthermore, we have long-standing working relationships with many partners, enabling us to offer a one-stop shop for most additional processing works such as nickel plating and tin plating.

Metallbearbeitung Becker GmbH was founded in Dautphetal in 1996. Within a relatively short space of time, we have been able to expand our production and storage spaces to an area of 6000 m² today. At present, we have a wide range of CNC machines available for turning and milling. Inductive hardening, complete assemblies and equipment for machinery and attachments are some of the fields of activity that are carried out by the experienced employees of our company. Production and waste disposal are carried out in accordance with strict environmental standards. For certain periods of time, all the energy required for manufacturing is generated and supplied solely from solar installations at the company's own plant. We use modern CNC machines to manufacture individual workpieces and assemblies according to drawing specifications. We are also able to work with cast components that have been provided by customers, for example. Furthermore, we can manage the procurement of materials and the organisation of additional process steps, such as surface and heat treatment.
