Initially, the company focused on double-shell frames with round and square panels as well as on frames for installation flush with the wall. In 2002, the company turned its attention to the development of single- and double-leaf smoke and fire protection elements. In this area, AZ® Metallbau GmbH, working together with leading door leaf manufacturers, is an important supplier for T30 + T30 RS properties (approval in line with EN standard and VKF in Switzerland). Thanks to this expertise, AZ® has become a system supplier for the property market – a development also evidenced by the new, compact InWin prefabricated window system. AZ® Metallbau has been a company of the Vienna-based Baustoff+Metall Group since November 2007.

At our parent company, the Hero-Glas Group, we already specialised in manufacturing fire-resistant glass since back in 2001. We are now one of the largest independent providers of fire-resistant glass. We are also able to combine expertise and exploit synergy effects in the group. Hero-Glas has specialised in glass for over 40 years now. All production stages and refining processes are located at the same site. This saves time and speeds up processes. LECO is a mirror and glass processing company with around 70 employees and has been headquartered in Schönsee, Bavaria, since 1962. It was originally established back in 1928 in Lommatzsch, Saxony, and has been successfully continued across more than three generations since then. But it was not only the owners who remained loyal to the company – the majority of employees also displayed great solidarity with their employer throughout the many years of their working relationship. This is also the basis between us and our business partners. Our extensive machinery allows us to produce even the smallest of glass products (from 10 mm) in a wide range of shapes.
