  1. ROTH COMPOSITE MACHINERY GMBH

    Germany

Roth Composite Machinery is an international specialist in special machine construction. The company plans, designs and manufactures units, machinery and whole production lines in the business fields of Filament Winding & Prepreg, Pleating & Coating and Brushes & Brooms. Customer-specific design of machinery is one of Roth's great strengths. Its product range includes machinery for filament winding for the manufacture of fibre-reinforced, stable plastic products for lightweight construction applications. Semi-finished products made from fibre-reinforced composites are manufactured with prepreg systems. Filter pleating machines are used in the production of air, water and oil filters in the automotive industry and in aeronautics, hydraulics, ventilation and medical technology. Paper, foils, laminates and fabrics are refined using Roth coating and impregnation systems. The Roth carrousel, universal and trimming machines are suitable for manufacturing brushes and brooms for the household and for industry.

Portrait of the SGL Carbon site in Wackersdorf: The SGL Carbon site in Wackersdorf, in the Upper Palatinate, is part of the Carbon Fibres division. Here, about 140 highly-qualified staff deal with the production of mats and non-woven fabrics from carbon, glass or natural fibres. The diverse product range of over 150 product variants is rounded off with the subsequent process step of stacking. This involves superimposing different layers of mats, cutting them into stacks and joining them, all per customer specification. These stacks are then processed by the customer to produce preforms or finished components. Every year, SGL Carbon produces over 8, 000 tons of carbon, glass or natural fibre mats at the Wackersdorf site. The site also boasts three stacking machines with a capacity of over 2 million stacks per year. The products from Wackersdorf are used in a wide range of sectors, albeit primarily in the automotive and aerospace industries. Several recycling facilities serve to recycle the production waste that cannot be avoided in the process. All the facilities are powered by green electricity. Our SIGRATEX textile materials are the ideal basis for producing high-quality, fibre-reinforced plastics. They are suitable for a wide range of processing operations.

  3. TRISIT TEXTILTECHNOLOGIE GMBH & CO. KG

    Germany

Trisit Textiltechnologie GmbH & Co. KG is a company specialised in developing and manufacturing three-dimensional textiles. Trisit develops and produces 3D textiles in a single working process. This means that various structures and properties, such as stretching, firmness and material thickness are incorporated into textiles in a targeted manner and according to individual customer requirements. The finished product is manufactured by the machine "in one shot", meaning that further processing procedures, such as cutting and sewing can be reduced considerably. This method opens up completely new possibilities when it comes to material development and surface design. In addition, customised production results in substantial savings during the production process and considerable flexibility for design changes.
