  4. MDX BIOTECHNIK INTERNATIONAL GMBH

    Germany

MDX Biotechnik is a small, innovative company based in Germany. Our highly-motivated and experienced team designs, produces, develops and optimises agitation bioreactors, packed bed bioreactors and laboratory and peristaltic pumps. New and innovative products from MDX include a "MultiFerm" 12-fold cell culture reactor and a fluidised bed reactor for 3D cell cultures. The MultiFerm is a 12-fold packed bed bioreactor and is specially designed for parallel cultivation of adherent cells. Among other things, it can be used to cultivate primary cells and for the mass production of monoclonal antibodies. The idea underlying the production of this multiple packed bed bioreactors resulted from cooperation with the universities and other companies as part of the "BIOKATALYSE2021" project promoted by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research. The MDX 3D fluidised bed reactor was developed in cooperation with the Technical University of Hamburg. It was specially designed for use in the 3D cultivation of adherent cells. By calling on numerous different carrier materials, it can be used in a wide range of fields of medical technology and research, e.g. cultivating liver cells, chondrocytes or endothelial cells for transplants.
