Since March 2005, we have offered, in collaboration with our partner GUT mbH, activated coal filtering systems to remove H2S from biogas, and other areas of application. Based from the region of Thuringia, we have been able to help numerous biogas plant operators to achieve a longer service life for their motors without H2S in the biogas, and to eliminate short oil change intervals. Through collaboration with the company H.G.S. GmbH & Co. KG, we have been able to pool and effectively make use of years of experience in the motor engineering, biogas purification and exhaust gas cleaning sectors, regardless of motor type and manufacturer. Since November 2008, the combination of biogas desulphurisation with active coal and the use of an oxidation catalyst in the exhaust gas system has resulted in more than 120 biogas plants receiving a formaldehyde bonus.

Dr. Ing. Horst Grochowski, inventor and entrepreneur, was the first in the world to develop and patent a dry exhaust gas purification method for counter-current operation at the end of the 1980s. Thanks to hard work, continual development and an eye for detail, the technology reached beyond Germany's and ultimately Europe's borders. The systems have been constructed in Japan since the mid 1990s, with the technology subsequently reaching mainland China via Taiwan and Korea.
