The foundation of HeVaTech dates back to a very tragic event. Due to a motorcycle accident, the left forefoot of Sigmar Hengge, Head of Development at HeVaTech, had to be amputated. Ever since, Mr Hengge has had to wear a prosthesis, leading to further problems. These include: Bruises, pain caused by the resulting scar and knee joint complaints due to poor posture. In 2003, he came across cupping therapy. However, the existing technology was unsuitable for these problems, so the experienced system and device developer developed his own cupping device with an accompanying cupping glass, and was even able to expand upon previous standards. Traditionally, cupping therapy is one of the purging procedures aiming at regulating the flow of body fluids. Pulsating cupping therapy is made up of a combination of traditional cupping, massage and lymphatic draining. This is implemented by applying a static negative pressure with vacuum pulses superimposed. If the therapy is used correctly, the patient experiences a pleasant effect similar to a traditional massage. Moreover, this technique enables the therapist to get into deep tissue layers, relieving blockages and resupplying the tissue with nutrient fluids. It is used, for example, for arthritis, circulatory disorders, muscle hardening, treatment of scars and fascia therapy.
