The company was founded in 1889 by Schwelm-based banker Carl Dicke – initially in Wuppertal, then in Mönchengladbach around 1900. At first, special raw materials for the textile industry were produced. Furthermore, trade in chemical raw materials was carried out for the regional industrial companies (textiles, metal processing, food and chemicals). Today, the commercial sector is still our core business, which we have continuously expanded. We have also been active in the area of contract manufacturing for many years. Today, we can supply the following industrial areas with our products: – Basic chemicals – Food and feed, food supplements – Washing, cleaning and cosmetics – Water treatment. Our supplier network draws upon many years of experience in the sector, so that we can provide our customers with raw materials even in difficult times. Over the last few years, we were able to concentrate this network particularly on European manufacturers. In times of increased difficulties in supply chains, this implies a certain security of supply. We, too, have confronted the constantly changing challenges of the sector. 100% genuine natural table salt is produced naturally in the Dead Sea by evaporation of the Dead Sea water and crystallization of the salt in ponds, without any industrial interference, without the use of any chemical or artificial materials, with no additives and with no chemical agents. The natural crude salt is washed with Dead Sea waters, dried, screened and packed on the same day into bags, packages and mills, according to customers’ orders.
