Our product range is very broad: wire cloths as rolled goods or pre-cut parts, filter discs, filter belts, filter cylinders, filter cartridges / filter candles, basket filters, conical strainers and customised products of all kinds. We have an extensive stock of wire cloths in the usual standards, and are therefore able to react quickly and flexibly to any customer requests.

We have been distributing these products successfully since the year 2000. Steel Service Krefeld GmbH has held ISO 9001: 2008 certification since 2015. SSK keeps comprehensive inventory levels for precision ground flat stock and premachined tool steels of what is now more than 1500 tons at our warehouses in Krefeld (Germany) and Sheffield (United Kingdom). We are also stockholder of P-plates for the mold base industry in grades 1.1730 and 1.2312. All products can be ordered online after registration by stockholders or retailers at www.stahl-shop.com. Carl Schmidt Sohn AG – tradition since 1829. Carl Schmidt was a qualified blacksmith when he founded CARL SCHMIDT SOHN together with his son in 1829. Its name would go around the world, would become a brand and endures to this day. In its early days, the young company initially specialised in the manufacture of swords. Thanks to its geographic location next to the Wupper river and the local deposits of iron ore and wood for coal, the city of Solingen in western Germany had ideal conditions for metalworking. At the time, no-one could have suspected that Solingen would some day become the centre of the cutting tool industry and that "made in Solingen" would become synonymous with outstanding products and first-rate quality all over the world. Carl Schmidt and his son ran the company extremely successfully from the outset. After just a year, they employed 100 blacksmiths, grinders and labourers. Its close proximity to the city of Cologne is virtually perfect for its extensive bulk production and distribution because Cologne is currently one of the largest and most prosperous trading centres in Germany. This meant that products from CARL SCHMIDT SOHN travelled all around the world from the beginning. Cutting tools from Solingen would soon be considered as hallmarks of the best quality and workmanship. What's more, it achieved this reputation at a time when it took a lot of time for news to spread. Today, customers are simply impressed by the quality and excellence of swords, sabres, knives and shears from Solingen.
