Thanks to more than 60 years of concentrated further development of our core business, our company now specialises in producing grids and meshes of all kinds for our customers. We provide products both for retail and directly for end customers. Our company was founded in 1945 as a metalworking company with subdivisions for fencing and door construction. Even in its early years, the company incorporated a small mechanical engineering department, in order to design wire processing machines for in-house use. In the 1970s, wire weaving developed into an equally important source of income for the company. In 1978, the first fully automatic production facility for corrugated grids and stamping grids was built, the company relocated to Erkrath and new markets were opened up thanks to the company concentrating on manufacturing wire meshes. In 1995, the product range was expanded to include spot-welded grids and profile edgings. Manufacturing is now carried out on four fully automated production lines.

Draht Müller was originally founded in 1931. In January 2016, it was split into different business divisions. Since then, it has comprised the spot-welded wire mesh division in Dülmen, and the crimp screen and paper and waste basket divisions in Billerbeck, which are independent companies. The modern machine inventory enables production to individual specifications. The tightest possible mechanical tolerances and efficient operations guarantee the highest quality at the lowest cost. This applies to every single weld spot. We excel as both a supplier for the processing industry and a manufacturer of finished products. Our meshes are used in the manufacture of fences, shelves and pallets, gabions and stone baskets, in the livestock farming and construction sectors and in all kinds of separation and protective grilles, for example in the conveyor technology field.

We are proud of our long heritage and extensive experience in wire technology and wire processing. Ably assisted by our team of skilled employees, we have been producing all kinds of wire products for more than 60 years. Our clients stem from a wide range of sectors, including industry, architecture, trade and shop fitting. We manufacture industrial and welded grilles, stainless steel grilles and wire baskets, as well as complete extension systems, individual wire goods and wire-bending parts. Depending on the application and area of use, we use different materials and material thicknesses to produce our wire goods. We manufacture wire parts from rough or blank wire, and from galvanised and aluminium-zinc-coated wire. Deutenberg also machines stainless steel wires. The diameter of the machined wires ranges from 1.6 to 10 millimetres.
