Thanks to more than 60 years of concentrated further development of our core business, our company now specialises in producing grids and meshes of all kinds for our customers. We provide products both for retail and directly for end customers. Our company was founded in 1945 as a metalworking company with subdivisions for fencing and door construction. Even in its early years, the company incorporated a small mechanical engineering department, in order to design wire processing machines for in-house use. In the 1970s, wire weaving developed into an equally important source of income for the company. In 1978, the first fully automatic production facility for corrugated grids and stamping grids was built, the company relocated to Erkrath and new markets were opened up thanks to the company concentrating on manufacturing wire meshes. In 1995, the product range was expanded to include spot-welded grids and profile edgings. Manufacturing is now carried out on four fully automated production lines.

We are a small, well-attuned company with 30 years of experience in special machine construction for the recycling technology and metalworking industries; we stand out for our fast, flexible and, above all, customer-orientated solutions. GuP GmbH was founded in 1989 by Udo Grumbach and his brother-in-law Hermann Petermann in Harsewinkel with the goal of simplifying the inconvenient emptying of paper containers. A container system complete with gripper technology was created and patented, and has been part of the company's product portfolio ever since. Since 2003, the palettes have been accompanied by materials handling and sorting technology, primarily PaperSpike®, which is now established on the market and in its second product generation, and separates paper from cardboard using a mechanical system. Our offering is completed with our metal construction – here we provide our customer with a complete package of construction, manufacturing and maintenance of welding equipment and transport frames. Nevertheless, we are more than happy to offer special constructions for other areas of application.
