Thanks to more than 60 years of concentrated further development of our core business, our company now specialises in producing grids and meshes of all kinds for our customers. We provide products both for retail and directly for end customers. Our company was founded in 1945 as a metalworking company with subdivisions for fencing and door construction. Even in its early years, the company incorporated a small mechanical engineering department, in order to design wire processing machines for in-house use. In the 1970s, wire weaving developed into an equally important source of income for the company. In 1978, the first fully automatic production facility for corrugated grids and stamping grids was built, the company relocated to Erkrath and new markets were opened up thanks to the company concentrating on manufacturing wire meshes. In 1995, the product range was expanded to include spot-welded grids and profile edgings. Manufacturing is now carried out on four fully automated production lines.

Merecs Engineering GmbH specialises in the areas of test automation, software development and test equipment construction. Our range of services include defining requirements, design and implementation, training and commissioning domestically and abroad, plus comprehensive support and maintenance of test systems. Our certified and experienced software architects and developers have an extensive library of software modules that are used in the field of test automation and beyond. We specialise in machining stainless-steel turned parts. Special materials like Hastelloy, Inconel, Duplex, etc. are no problem for our production line. Our production facilities enable us to forge and upset stainless steel. This brings the advantage of working with less material and keeping the costs for material usage lower. Our greatest core competence is thread rolling, an area in which we have more than 30 years of experience. Our production is highly automated and designed for series production, but individual parts or small series can be included in the production plan at any time. We can produce turned parts from a length of approx. 80 mm up to 6000 mm. In terms of diameter, our range starts at 10 mm and we can process a maximum of 600 mm.
