SpanSet secutex Sicherheitstechnik GmbH was founded in 1982 by Heinz Franke and SpanSet GmbH. secutex, which stands for "secure textile", has become one of the largest manufacturers and processors of polyurethane over the years. The range of products, which initially consisted of polyurethane-coated lifting straps and protective sleeves, covers various areas, for example technical moulded parts for mechanical engineering, roller and roll coating, prong and surface protection. secutex is a highly wear-resistant polyurethane, which was developed for lifting components with sharp edges, for example coils. By constructing our own moulds, we can provide individual solutions and designs. Thanks to continually developing new solutions for coil handling and storage, secutex has nearly become the industry standard both in Germany and internationally. As an independent company with long-standing expertise in the field of coil processing, we provide a comprehensive delivery service and individual services. The company is a commercial company specialising in the sale of slit strips and cuts. For the sale of these products, a corresponding raw material stock is required consisting of hot-rolled wide strips (coils or rings). The production orders are almost always assigned to BSS. Through selected national, European and international suppliers, BANDTEC constantly ensures the very best quality primary materials. Purchases are not bound and are therefore independent of the interests of individual steel producers. Our sources of supply are the following: ARCELOR, TATA, SEVERSTAL, NLMK, Marcegaglia. Our customers / buyers operate in the processing industry, for example in the stamping and forming technology sector, the automotive supply industry, the furniture industry, shelving construction, mechanical and plant engineering, warehousing, etc. BANDTEC currently employs twelve staff.

We process belt and sheet material from 0.2 to 6 mm sheet thickness. We have invested in optimised machine units especially for processing aluminium strips, but not only for this purpose. Automatic punching presses, hydraulic presses and eccentric presses with pressing forces up to 3150 kN process belts/coils up to 600 mm wide. Tight dimensional tolerances, high flatness requirements and other technically demanding quality features are produced by us and partly controlled "in line". With our cleaning systems, which use organic, CHC-free cleaning agents in an environmentally friendly manner, we are also able to meet special cleanliness requirements – based on current standards for residual dirt identification. Through responsible management, we ensure that high quality standards – based on customer requirements – are achieved. Flat structures ensure careful, target-oriented and fast implementation of our customer orders.

Energietechnik Essen GmbH – a member of the Georgsmarienhütte Group – bases its capabilities and skills on continuous research and development as well as on experience reaching back to 1811. The Energietechnik Essen GmbH develops, produces and supplies safety-relevant high-tech products, mainly for manufacturers of power generation machinery. When the first turbo-generator was built at the start of the 20th century, the Essen-based company supplied the retaining rings. Retaining rings are placed on the ends of the rotors to fix the copper coil against the centrifugal forces created by the high rotational speeds. The oldest documents in the company's archive relating to non-magnetisable retaining rings date back to 1901. Energietechnik Essen GmbH uses two remelting units, one electroslag remelting unit and one pressurised electroslag remelting unit, to produce the materials for retaining rings.
