Contacto was founded in 1958 as a German branch of the Swedish cooking pot manufacturer OLOFSTRÖM in Erkrath near Düsseldorf. OLOFSTRÖM developed a special CONTACT process for connecting aluminium sandwich bottoms with stainless steel pots made from 18/10 quality "Swedish steel". The process has been patented. The Swedish royal family allowed a crown symbol to be used as the highest distinction and recognition for the trademarks. Our sales programme is aimed at the catering trade, through which our products are available.

Hybrid: We produce articles from a combination of 2 different materials: metal and plastic (e.g. insulation screws for the simple but secure fastening of insulation to wood bases).
