Ever since 1980, we have been producing stud welding units, accessories, stud welding machinery and welding studs from our 900 m² site. 1980: Company established by Hans-Joachim Arnhold. 1980-1990: Developing new equipment technology and expanding business areas. 1990: Construction of the current main building for administration, equipment production and stud storage. 1998: Expansion of the new building to include storage and production facility for special equipment. 2000: Into the second generation as Martin Arnhold joins the company. 2008: Introduction of the ISO 9001 quality standard. December 2013: Company founder Hans-Joachim Arnhold hands the company over to his son, Martin, and begins his well earned retirement. We operate in more than 50 countries around the world.

We are a scientific and innovative private service facility based at the Grevesmühlen site in northern Germany. The three main focuses of our work are offering technical engineering, analytical and research engineering services. Our large number of approvals and permits includes administrative approvals in the areas of drinking water, waste water, water bodies, sewage sludge, waste, the ground, biowaste and recovered wood, as well as access permits for pathogenic micro-organisms. The institute continues to operate as a test laboratory to analyse wood pellets and wood chips for the European Pellet Council (EPC) and DIN CERTCO. We work closely together with other research institutes on research and development tasks on an interdisciplinary basis.

Our laboratory ensures that our customers obtain yarns and fabrics of a consistently high quality. From Stadtlohn, our sister company in Zittau is also centrally supported with laboratory services. The production plant is supported by H. Hecking Söhne on an administrative level so as to be capable of guaranteeing great flexibility and rapid decision-making for our customers.

Gummi-Welz GmbH und Co. KG was founded in 1945 by Hans Welz. Until mid-2006, it was run as a family-owned company by his daughter and son-in-law.
