L'extincteur doit être marqué d'une étiquette clairement identifiable et plombé par la personne ou l’organisme ayant réalisé l'intervention. Selon la norme NF S61-919, les années et mois des vérifications doivent apparaître sur l'étiquette de l'extincteur.
