    PÂTURAGES COMTOIS is a cooperative created in 1985 via the merger of several smaller local cooperatives between 1985 and 1996. These historical producers of Label Rouge IGP Emmental Grand Cru have since diversified into the fabrication of surface-ripened and washed-rind soft cheeses. After changing its name to Pâturages Comtois, the cooperative continued its diversification with Metton for making Cancoillotte, and IGP French Gruyère. Today, Pâturages Comtois also makes Cancoillotte. Every year, this cheese-making cooperative from Hauts du Val de Saône processes 35 million litres of milk into soft cheese and cooked pressed hard cheese. The cooperative exports 75% of its soft cheeses. Its know-how means it is able to supply over 3, 500 tonnes of soft cheese to any continent on the planet in a very short period of time. Clients can benefit fro super-fast air freight delivery, or be supplied using specialist frozen packing containers.
