Les Parfums d’Uzège is a 100% made in France, eco-responsible fragrance manufacturer founded in 1997. Our products offer you a unique olfactory experience, taking you on a journey of discovery through the fragrances of Uzès. At les Parfums d'Uzège, all our fragrances are packaged by hand in our workshop in Saint Chaptes. Each stage of production is meticulously controlled, thereby ensuring that production has a low environmental impact using the very best raw materials, crafted by a traditional perfumer in Grasse stretching back three generations. Clean, vegan formulae involving no animal testing Each fragrance is in our hands, carefully filled by means of a semi-automatic filling machine before being crimped. We then apply a spray pump cover manually before the labels are delicately stuck on one by one. We also produce our labels in our workshop using dedicated software. Each fragrance is then meticulously placed in its box created by our designer, located twenty kilometres from our workshop, and produced by our partner "Michel Cartonnage", located about thirty kilometres away. CROIX MARON Cognac The Legend of Cognac 400 years ago, in Segonzac, the Chevalier de la CROIX MARON invented cognac. To this day, CROIX MARON Cognacs are the expression of an ancestral savoir-faire and the fineness of their land of origin: Grande Champagne, 1st cru of Cognac. “ Legend has it that double distillation was invented by the Chevalier de la Croix Maron, Lord of Segonzac, a pious man who dreamt that Satan was trying to damn his soul. In his dream, he saw himself in the Devil’s cauldron, but his faith was so deeply anchored in his soul that it resisted the first “cooking”. To achieve his ends, the Devil was forced to “cook” it again. When he woke up, the Chevalier had the idea of extracting the “soul” of eau-de-vie with a second distillation.” This is how the legend on the origin of the discovery of double distillation for Cognac eaux-de-vie was perpetuated in the region. Distilled in the heart of the region where Cognac draws its roots, according to the same centuries-old methods, CROIX MARON Cognacs are, still today, the legacy of this tradition.

From Engineer to Master Aleppo Soapmaker. In 1989 Riad BASMAJI (RB) "who hailed from Aleppo", finished his post-graduate studies and was awarded his doctorate in Earth Sciences Engineering from the Paris Observatory. He submitted his knowledge to serve several French firms. He discovered the virtues of Aleppo soap by pure coincidence.In 1993 while staying in Cannes, RB had a fungal attack between his thighs. This cutaneous mycosis problem came and went on and off for 4 years. In 1997, his sister came to visit him in France from Aleppo in Syria. She gave her brother a gift: it was Aleppo soap. At the time, this soap was unheard of in France and Europe. RB used the Aleppo soap on his body. After 3 months, he made a happy discovery: the fungal problem had been eradicated. This personal story prompted him to conduct an in-depth study of this miraculous soap and ensure that everybody could take advantage of its virtues. Great love and passion were aroused for Aleppo soap. In 2001 in conjunction with two friends, he set up a firm to distribute Aleppo soap in France. The haphazard dosing of laurel berry oil by most of the master soap makers of Aleppo, persuaded him to open his first soap works in the Aleppo region (Kafar Naha) in 2003 with the aim of mastering the manufacture of his Aleppo soap from start to finish.
