Elva E.P.T. Ltd. was founded in 1991. However, the production of peat started already in 1962, when the predecessor of Elva E.P.T Ltd. started using 30 hectars of peatland in Sangla district. Nowadays, the area of production has extended to 620 hectars. In 1992, a peat packing shop was established in Tartumaa, Sangla, where peat is packed in bales of different volumes (250L and 300L). In the spring 2000, the production was extended by 6000L Big Bales. Today, Elva E.P.T is employing 45 people.As the packing shop of Elva E.P.T is not situlated close to harbours, most of the production is exported by road transport. However, according to the wishes of the customer, products could also be transported in sea containers or deck cargo from the harbour of Pärnu. Founded on 10.06.1997, AS DBT provides storage for bulk fertilizers and handling services. The foundation stone of AS DBT terminal was placed in the Port of Muuga on February 17th, 1998. Although having started from scratch, a modern and high-tech dry bulk port terminal was erected within less than a year. The terminal started operating in December 1998. Currently AS DBT’s 8 dome and 1 covered warehouses enable one-time storage of up to 192, 000 tons of mineral fertilizers (in bulk) and an annual handling of over 2.5 million tons of different cargoes. In addition to the storage and trans-shipment services, terminal AS DBT offers blending and bagging operations, as well as services on stuffing containers.
