The Geissel Group is one of the leading manufacturers of cable glands and accessories as well as precision turning parts. Our company was founded in 1920 by Wilhelm Geissel and, with 160 employees worldwide today, represents quality, tradition and innovation. The story of our company is typical of a mediumsized company in the Baden-Württemberg region. It all started as a small turning shop manufacturing brass turning parts for the electrical and household appliances sector. The company originally occupied the former skittle alley of a restaurant in Mühlacker but these premises soon became too small and a larger production facility was built. Following the steady expansion of the production areas in Mühlacker, construction started on our current main plant in Mühlacker-Lienzingen in 1980. The 1950s saw a significant expansion of our manufacturing output with the addition of cable glands and accessories. The success story of the M Classic gland began. In 1994 the Geissel Group expanded its global operations and established a production plant in Pune, India. The company is now managed by Peter, Marc and Vanessa Seidel; the third and fourth generation of the family.

Oxyfuel and plasma cutting in alloyed and unalloyed steels is our job. We manufacture these exactly as you need them for your project. Whether these are flame-cut parts for the printing press industry, custom plates for bridge construction and container manufacturing or cuts for excavator arms, we at autogena manufacture the basic parts from which your advanced technology is created. Right from the start, we've paid attention to the latest machine technology and process-optimised manufacturing procedures. We are therefore able to work very economically. An advantage that we're glad to pass on to our customers. This is how the firing tables for oxyfuel and plasma cutting, for instance, were enlarged again, processing units were implemented and new flame cutting machines were continually acquired. An annealing furnace, the robot cutting system for chamfers and a roller round off our ability to refine "standard flame-cut parts". We stock approx. 15, 000 tonnes of heavy plates in various material grades, such as S235JR+N / S355J2+N / P355NL2/NH / P265GH / ASME SA 516 size 60/70 and shipbuilding steels of level A to F36. Plates up to a material thickness of 300 mm, a width of 4500 mm and a length of 16, 000 mm are permanently stored and processed. Thanks to the perfect location of our company in northern Hanover with access to the Mittelland Canal, its own rail connection and proximity to the highway, autogena is also able to supply oversized parts.
