...The company "du long et du lé" ("from long to wide" in Old French, where "lé" is the ancient word for the width of a fabric) was founded in 1992 by Claire and Etienne Roland, cultural heirs of a grandfather who established the "maison de blanc" in the beautiful city of Ghent in 1872. "du long et du lé" is a family-owned and artisanal business specializing in the creation, publishing, and manufacturing of seating: armchairs, sofas, benches... It also works custom-made for projects involving architectural firms, interior designers, and the hospitality industry.
