The automotive industry has impressively demonstrated how joining galvanized sheets with copper wire can be achieved without extensive reworking. Here, so-called Tailored Blanks, custom-made components from thin sheets of varying qualities, are laser, hard, or high-temperature soldered with bercoweld®. Subsequent treatments and the galvanizing of the joint seam are eliminated, while corrosion protection remains intact.
