Laurette's Charms

Commentary The Bourg vineyard is located on the right bank of the Gironde estuary, about 35 km north of Bordeaux. The mass of water from the river softens the very sunny microclimate of the hillsides. The soils are primarily clay-limestone. They rest on layers of porous stones that provide good natural drainage. Balanced, elegant, and very appealing, the red wines from the Côtes de Bourg are generous, full-bodied, aromatic, and possess a tannic structure that makes them particularly suitable for aging. Tasting "Les Charmes de Laurette" has an extremely deep color, purple with black reflections. Elegantly full-bodied, without imbalance, it expresses aromas of stewed black fruits, with hints of underbrush and spices. This selection offers a rather round and soft tannin. Food pairing: charcuterie, red meat, game, cooked cheese. Seafood, sauced fish, gizzard salad, white meat, tarts. Alcohol: 14.5% vol. Grapes: Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%) Producer: Brand AG Vins Formats and packaging: Bottle (75cl) - Box of 6 - 2020
