SSA FLUIDRA ÖSTERREICH GMBH

In 1975, Helmut Brabenetz started his self-employment in Salzburg on Breitenfelder Straße, in the basement of a two-family house. Shortly thereafter, he founded the company together with Ing. Wolfgang Kaltenbrunner. 1975 In a promising industry, they saw their opportunity primarily in personal "customer service". With in-house delivery services, they offered their customers prompt delivery, which significantly contributed to the company's growth and success. The revenue in the first year was 21,000 euros. In 1976, they rented an office at Aignerstraße 36 and soon hired two employees. The first warehouse was set up in an adjacent farmhouse. In 1991, Wolfgang Kaltenbrunner left the company, and Helmut Brabenetz and Monika Kaltenbrunner took over his shares. Helmut Brabenetz thus became the main shareholder. In 1993, due to ongoing growth, a new location had to be sought, which was found in Grödig in 1993. After a short construction period, the move to the new company building with 680 m² of office space and 2,100 m² of warehouse space took place in 1994 for the now 18 employees and 4 delivery vehicles (3 trucks, 1 sprinter). In 1998, Monika Kaltenbrunner also left, and Helmut Brabenetz took over her shares as well. In 1999, just 5 years after the new construction (1999), the warehouse was expanded again with an extension, adding an additional 1,500 m² of warehouse space, and by the turn of the millennium on December 31, 2000, SSA employed 27 people. In 2001, due to continuous growth and ongoing product expansions, the warehouse space soon became insufficient, necessitating another expansion in 2001. A new warehouse with a total storage area of 2,100 m² (of which 640 m² is high pallet storage) was built. SSA now has a total storage area of 5,700 m². In 2004, the close contacts since 1985 with Europe's largest manufacturer "Astral" led to a merger in 2004. The Spanish company, which has been operating internationally under the name "Fluidra" since 2008, has since been directly represented in the domestic market by SSA Fluidra Österreich GmbH. In 2009, the original first building was expanded, gaining an additional 340 m² of office space. Furthermore, the increasing requirements for chemical storage were addressed, and thus a part of the 2nd warehouse (135 m²) was separated and specifically used for this purpose. SSA now had a total storage area of 5,700 m², 1,020 m² of office space, 5 trucks, 1 sprinter, and employed 43 staff. In 2017, to better meet customer needs, the company has been significantly more present since 2017 through efficient marketing – such as information about new products, training, newsletters, continuous maintenance of the homepage, etc. – SSA is now also represented on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
