We are Valentino Concas and Francesca Schaffer, the owners of the design and engineering studio Schaffer & Concas, established in Florence in 2000. Design is innovation, personality, aesthetics, recognizability, constructive simplicity, ergonomics, and durability. We primarily provide design consulting for instruments and equipment in the medical sector, laboratory analysis, and machinery for industry. Our main goal is to create a pleasant, recognizable, and lasting design that gives the product the right dose of personality, allowing the company to stand out, innovate, and add new content to its marketing. We work with companies of various sizes. The smallest SME has a turnover of about €500K, while the largest S.p.A generates over €90 million. Therefore, we are capable of collaborating with well-structured R&D departments, but we can also fully support small companies that lack a technical office. We target businesses and those managers who wish to engage in a long-lasting and reliable external collaboration, with direct contact that is not mediated by account managers for every request. We offer our consulting services in a straightforward and flexible manner: once the consulting agreement is defined, we ensure its continuity up to production, including any modifications after prototyping, without requesting additional fees.
