The Tenute La Crama Del Duca are located in an area that occupies a beautiful stretch of land between the Arad plain and the hills of Minis, as well as the amphitheater of the Zaran mountains in Syria, in a region that enjoys a special microclimate particularly favorable for cultivating Pinot Noir grapes. The vineyards cover an area of about 230 hectares, predominantly hilly and on clayey soils. With a yield of approximately 90 quintals per hectare, the vineyards allow for an average annual production of 1,500,000 bottles. To confirm a commitment to achieving the highest quality, a zoning study initiated in 2008 at the behest of the producers has defined the viticultural potential of the entire area by studying and evaluating the effects of the combined climatic, geographical, and morphological characteristics of the territory. This innovative system has allowed, and continues to allow, for the enhancement of the interaction between the grape variety and the cultivation environment, highlighting the specific behavioral traits and adaptability of a variety to its growing location, making organic cultivation suitable for the area to best express the qualities of Pinot Noir.
