It is a genuine alternative to conventional public toilets that minimizes investment costs and facilitates the installation of the sanitary block, significantly reduces potable water consumption, and avoids operational costs related to breakdowns and vandalism, thanks to a passive technology based on robustness, minimalism, and renewable energies. Solid waste (paper and feces) separated from urine through a mechanical device becomes suitable for composting. One of the significant benefits of composting is the substantial reduction in volume of the initial materials, as can be observed in garden composters. The compost only needs to be removed once every 5 to 15 years, depending on the level of usage.
