Initially, the cured meats were intended for self-consumption or to share with their closest circle of friends and acquaintances. These friends remarked that the cured meats were so good that they should offer them to more people. Gradually, starting from a small butcher shop and then beginning to supply some of the classic markets in Barcelona, such as Sant Antoni or La Boqueria, they began to offer the products made by the Ventulà family to other territories beyond the Garrotxa region. Up to today, where the Ventula family exports to over 70 countries, maintaining the family business model, with a strong connection to the territory and a maximum respect for product quality and its production.
