PONS PRIMEURS

Located in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime (17), Pons Primeurs is a wholesaler of fresh products. A specialist in the distribution of fresh produce and a market leader in Charente (16) and Charente-Maritime (17), this family-owned company was taken over in 1998 by Myriam and Jean-Charles Pons. It offers professionals fresh fruits and vegetables as well as fish and seafood sourced from the region. Pons Primeurs strictly adheres to the cold chain, ensures product traceability through the HACCP method, has been certified organic for its fresh fruits and vegetables by Ecocert since 2008, and is in the process of obtaining ISO 22000 certification. The products are stored in cold rooms and transported in its own refrigerated trucks at temperatures between 0 and 4 °C. Deliveries are made across several departments in a timely manner, thanks to its rigorous organization. The company is a member of the Hexagro group, a network of independent French wholesalers.
