The blueglobe CLEAN Plus is the first cable gland to be certified to the high EHEDG standard and therefore can be used without risk in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries and in clean room technology applications. BGN also confirmed conformity of this cable gland with the relevant applicable testing specifications in test certificate NV 13132. The cable gland blueglobe CLEAN Plus has no cavities, gaps or external threads but has a smooth surface (roughness Ra < 0.8 μm) and rounded surfaces in contact with the wrench. PFLITSCH uses high-grade stainless steel 1.4404/AISI 316L to manufacture this product. All seals are made from plastics that comply with FDA 21 CFR §177.2600 and are suitable for being in contact with food.

PFLITSCH is setting new standards in damping values with the cable gland blueglobe TRI, as demonstrated by its successful certification for Cat. 8A applications. Now these high-quality, EU-approved EMC cable glands have fulfilled the demanding requirements for UL certification and can therefore also be used worldwide. Its triangular spring makes 360° contact with the screening braid. The cable gland combines excellent HF-damping performance and ease of installation with the other system features to achieve values greatly in excess of the requirements of EN 62444. Whereas Cat. 8A requirements in accordance with DIN IEC 61156-5 demand at least 60 dB up to 1,000 MHz, blueglobe TRI performs significantly better, attaining values of 65 dB to over 100 dB. Even in the high frequency range up to 2.5 GHz, the values are typically a minimum of 50 dB. The cable gland also has a very high current-carrying capacity.

The increasing spread of electromagnetic radiation and the greater sensitivity of modern electronic components mean cable glands have an important role to play in a system's screening concept. PFLITSCH offers a graduated selection of EMC capabilities in its UNI Dicht and blueglobe cable glands for use in EMC applications up to Cat. 7A. The EMC cable gland blueglobe TRI separates the functions of sealing and EMC screening and therefore achieves the highest attenuation values of 80 dB up to 100 MHz. Even in the frequency range up to 2.5 GHz, the values are typically at least 50 dB. High current-carrying capacity is also provided. A triangular spring fits around the cable's braided shielding. The design of the spring precludes its getting caught in the braiding if the assembly is dismantled.

Comprehensive Ex-protection for gas and dust environments PFLITSCH has many ATEX-certified cable glands for use in potentially explosive atmospheres – e.g. in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, agriculture, wood processing and the metal industry. Your advantages: Areas of use G (Gas) and D (Dust) Equipment class II Explosion protection type e (increased safety) as well as d (pressure-tight encapsulation) in zones 22, 21, 2 and 1 The UNI Dicht Ex-cable gland versions in metal (brass and stainless steel) are available in sizes M10 to M80 and Pg 7 to Pg 48 as well as in plastic in sizes M16 to M50 and Pg 9 to Pg 36. blueglobe is ATEX-certified in sizes M8 to M85 in brass and stainless steel. TPE sealing inserts are used for operating temperatures between -40 °C and +115 °C, while silicone (LSR) inserts are used between -55 °C and +180 °C. The various Ex-certified EMC cable glands are particularly worthy of mention.

For 90° cable entries and safe outlets from switchgear cabinets PFLITSCH UNI elbow solutions enable cables to be taken safely around corners up to 90°. These cable glands have an angled cable gland body made from die-cast zinc or PA plastic. Elbow cable glands achieve the same technical values as the UNI Dicht® standard models. The variants with a rotating coupling can direct the component leg in any direction 360° around the attached leg in order to achieve the best cable entry. PFLITSCH makes these as standard products in sizes M16 to M40 and Pg 9 to Pg 36. To feed cables at an angle into/out of switchgear cabinets or machine housings, PFLITSCH produces various short and long flanged elbows in die-cast zinc and PA plastic. They are screwed tightly on to the housing and can accept – depending on the version – cable glands in sizes M16 to M63 and Pg 9 to Pg 48. An inserted o-ring securely seals the flange to the housing.

The LevelEx is available in sizes M16 to M63 or with NPT threads from 3/8" to 2 1/2". PFLITSCH manufactures the cable gland bodies from bright brass, galvanised nickel-plated brass and corrosion-free stainless steel. The LevelEx achieves protection class IP 66 or IP 68 and corresponds to the ignition protection types flameproof enclosure "Ex-d" and increased safety "Ex-e". With its wide temperature range of -60 °C to +130 °C and approvals according to ATEX and IECEx, the LevelEx can also be used under extreme environmental conditions. For armoured cables, PFLITSCH offers the LevelEX AC. It has the same technical quality as the proven LevelEx for non-armoured cables. In addition, it convinces with additional properties. For example, it scores with an innovative design for accommodating armoured cables: Two opposing windows in the armour clamping allow the correct seating of the cable armour to be checked immediately.

The PFLITSCH CABseal is used to feed pre-assembled and non-assembled cables, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic lines, simply and reliably into control cabinets, primarily, but also into enclosures and machines. To this end, their sizes and dimensions of the frames are compatible with the common standard cut-outs and hole patterns in control cabinets so that just a single CABseal frame is required per cut-out. The CABseal cable entry system consists of four different sized frames and a number of cable grommets that can be equipped in various constellations. The grommets are slotted at the sides to make it easier to insert cables. While the frame is made of hard and robust polyamide, we use a flexible elastomer for the cable grommets and their special sealing lips. To ensure the cables are properly sealed, the grommets are positioned in the frame and compressed when the upper part of the frame is screwed down.

The new UNI Dicht TRI achieves the highest shielding attenuation values over the complete frequency range and convinces with a very high current carrying capacity for the reliable discharge of undesirably high shielding currents. The installation is simple and safe: only the cable sheath has to be removed at the contact point where the shielding braid is to be contacted. As soon as the cable is inserted into the cable gland, the TRI spring makes reliable contact with the cable shield, even in the case of non-circular or off-centre cables. In any case, this type of contacting from PFLITSCH means that the cable shield does not have to be exposed until directly at the connection point in the control cabinet. Because the shielding braid remains 100% intact, maximum shielding attenuation is achieved and the useful signals are transmitted without unnecessary interference from noise signals.
