PATURAGES COMTOIS

PÂTURAGES COMTOIS is a cooperative, founded in 1985 by the merger of various municipal cooperatives between 1985 and 1996. These communities, historical producers of emmental IGP Grand Cru label rouge, have diversified into the production of soft cheeses with a bloomy rind and washed rind. After becoming "Pâturages Comtois", the cooperative continued its diversification with metton for cancoillotte, and Gruyère de France IGP. Today, Pâturages Comtois is also a producer of cancoillotte. The dairy cooperative of Hauts du Val de Saône processes 35 million liters of milk each year into soft cheese and pressed cooked cheese. The cooperative exports 75% of its soft cheese production. Its expertise allows it to supply over 3,500 tons of soft cheese to all five continents in very short timeframes. The cheesemaker offers its clients fast delivery by air or frozen packaging supply. The cheeses from Pâturages Comtois are particularly appreciated in the United States, as the American market alone accounts for 20% of the company's export revenue.
