The craftsmanship and interest in wood processing have always been particularly well-developed in the Haist family. Therefore, it was not surprising that young Ernst Haist, after successfully completing his training as a sawmill worker in 1960, stood on his own feet and became self-employed. With his employees and a large circular saw, the diligent founder of the company produced customized boards and posts for over 20 years on the current company premises, which were used, among other things, for building fences or as poles for telephone masts. After the takeover of the business by his son Wolfgang Haist in 1984, fresh ideas and new energy entered the company. With the acquisition of a modern profile milling machine, the product range was expanded, and the first customized pallets were finally produced. With its high-quality pallets and individually crafted wooden packaging, the small company began to make a name for itself beyond the Murgtal region. Constant improvements and further investments in state-of-the-art wood processing techniques, along with highly qualified employees, soon convinced both large and small companies from near and far to entrust their valuable transport goods to the customized pallets and wooden packaging of Holzverarbeitung Haist for many years. Today, the company, with its three large production halls and many flexible employees, is one of the largest wood processing companies in the Black Forest and is proud to have fulfilled every single customer request, no matter how unusual.
