The IF1032/ETH interface module now enables to run sensors with analogue interfaces with the proven web interface. With the Ethernet interface, measured data can be easily displayed on a PC. Moreover, sensors can be connected to an EtherCAT bus. The RS485 interface allows connection of new sensors using the Micro-Epsilon specific RS485 protocol.

The IF2001/USB interface module converts the digital RS422 signals of a laser optical sensor into a USB data packet. For this purpose, the sensor is connected to the RS422 interface of the module. The converter loops through further signals and features such as laser on/off, switch signals and function output. The connected sensors and the converter can be programmed through software.

The RS422/USB converts digital signals from up to 4 optical sensors into a USB data packet. The new converter has 4 trigger inputs and a trigger output for connecting additional converters.The data are output via an USB interface. The converter as well as the connected sensor are parametrisable by software.

The IF2008/PCI interface card is designed for installation in PCs and enables the synchronous capture of digital sensor signals and encoders. The IF2008/PCIE interface card is developed for installation in PCs with PCI Express slots. Absolutely synchronous data acquisition plays an important role particularly for planarity or thickness measurement tasks. The interface card enables the synchronous capture of four digital sensor signals and two encoders. The data are stored in a FIFO memory in order to enable resource-saving processing in the PC in blocks.

The IF2008/ETH interface module is designed for multi-channel applications. This module allows for up to 8 Micro-Epsilon sensors or encoders with RS422 interface to be integrated into an Ethernet network. Furthermore, the converter offers 4 programmable switching inputs/outputs (TTL and HTL logic) as well as 10 indicator LEDs, which show the channel or device status directly on the device. Parameter setting of the interface module can be easily done via the web interface.

The IF2035 interface modules are designed for easy connection of Micro-Epsilon sensors to Industrial Ethernet controllers, e.g., plant control systems. The PROFINET and EthernetIP modules are compatible with sensors that output data via an RS422 or RS485 interface. These modules operate on the sensor side with up to 4 MBaud and have two network connections for different network topologies. Installation in switching cabinets is via a DIN rail.

The new generation of Micro-Epsilon’s 3D sensors impresses with high accuracy during measurement and assessment of components and surfaces. The surfaceCONTROL and reflectCONTROL inspection systems from Micro-Epsilon are intended for matt and shiny surfaces respectively. The 3D snapshots are recorded in a short time and provide detailed 3D point clouds. These 3D sensors are used, e.g., for geometric component testing, position determination, presence checks and the measurement of flatness or planarity. Thanks to their high performance, the sensors are used for inline applications, on robots and also for offline inspection.

surfaceCONTROL sensors enable high resolution surface scans in order to detect defects or form deviations with high accuracy.

reflectCONTROL sensors are used for the surface inspection of shiny objects and achieve high X- and Z-resolutions.
