High-flexible copper-based ropes, enclosed by an additional braid, made from Cu-ETP1, Cu-OF1 and LEONI Histral® alloys (upon request) in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated and silver-plated, hard or soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.10 mm. Cross-section ranging from 0.35 mm² to 120 mm² (bigger cross-sections upon request). Our ropes with overall braids are characterised by their good flexibility and their excellent mechanical strength. The overall braid has a vibration-reducing function and prevents unrevelling of the rope. Ropes with overall braids are mainly suitable for automotive, industrial applications and for connectors.

Cross-section ranging from 1 mm² to 95 mm² depending on welding area. Compact welded terminals of different copper strands can be automated processed. A production of individual parts is possible as well as large-scale production. Resistance welded strands by LEONI are particularly suitable for high-voltage battery connectors, for high power connectors, for switch contacts and for special applications.

Square copper braids require less space in comparison to round copper braids with the same cross-section. There is a precise positioning owing to square or rectangular shape, which allows for failure-free and fully automated downstream manufacture. Squre or rectangular copper braids are characterised by very good Flex life, being absolute free from twist, a compact cutting surface, a very high degree of dimensional accuracy and a very long lifetime. Compact braided square and rectangular copper flexibles are particularly suitable for applications in carbon brushes industry, connection technology, switches and aviation industry.

Those single wires do not hold a fixed position inside the strand. Their position relative to one another undergoes a permanent change along the entire length of the bunch. The construction of a bunch is derived from the cross-section required, which leads to the electrical conductor featuring a certain resistance level. Different cross-sections with the same resistance value can be generated by applying single wires of varying sizes. Owing to their good efficiency our bunched single wires are versatile in a multitude of applications in cables and conductors.
