INSTITUT SCIENTIFIQUE DE SERVICE PUBLIC - ISSEP

The Scientific Institute for Public Service (ISSeP) conducts scientific and technical activities in the environmental field and is also recognized as a reference laboratory for Wallonia. The Institute is responsible for numerous study programs aimed at characterizing environmental media (air, water, soil, waste, sediments, non-ionizing radiation) to diagnose the chemical, physical, ecological, and health status of these environments. In this context, it carries out specific missions such as managing the environmental networks of Wallonia through: monitoring water and air quality, studying and characterizing emissions from industrial chimneys in Wallonia, etc. The Institute assesses and prevents the risks that economic activities pose (or have posed) to humans and the environment in various fields.
