In the side channel blower, a rotor equipped with blades rotates contactlessly in a ring-shaped housing – the side channel. The rotation of the rotor creates a radial pressure build-up in the rotor cell – the gas flows into the housing, is redirected, and guided into the next chamber. The contactless operation leads to an extremely low wear operation. The use of permanently lubricated bearings and the elimination of oil lubrication ensures minimal maintenance – another positive aspect: oil-free compression. The compact design and the pressure and suction side connection options lead to optimized installation possibilities. The quiet and vibration-free operation makes extensive soundproofing and foundation measures unnecessary in most cases.
