Founded in 1979 as a small metalworking shop with 5 employees, our Styrian family business has developed into a competent and versatile steel construction company that has successfully established itself as a partner for renowned plant manufacturers. Targeted investments, including in the training and further education of our employees in the welding sector, laid the foundation for the "Großer Eignungsnachweis" and the approval according to DIN 18 800 as early as 1984. In addition to general plant and hall construction, we specialized in 1988 in the series production of various components in crane and special machine construction, becoming a long-term partner of well-known companies such as Kone, Liebherr, and Palfinger ("Supplier of the Year 2000" in the category of delivery reliability among around 700 suppliers worldwide). The approval as a welding company of quality class 1 according to ÖNORM M 7812 in 1993 was followed by the approval according to ÖNORM EN 729-2 in 1994 and the ISO certification for the manufacturing and assembly of steel and plant constructions and industrial assemblies in 1995. In 2000, we seized the opportunity to establish ourselves as a welding specialist in rail transport technology in locomotive and wagon construction (certification according to EN 15085-2 CL 1, formerly DIN 6700). In this field, our quality and reliability are trusted by ÖBB and Siemens Transportation Systems (multiple evaluations as "Outstanding Supplier"). In the area of safety management systems, we received certification according to SCC in 2006, OHSAS in 2015, and have been successfully certified according to EN 1090 EXC 4 since September 2012. In our workshops, with a total production area of around 10,000 m², high-quality safety-relevant components and special steel constructions are manufactured today. Our companies (ESTET Stahlbau and ESTET Personal) employ around 300 people across Austria. In 1991, we were awarded the Styrian Panther by Governor Dr. Josef Krainer. www.leitbetriebe.at
