For over 30 years, ESCO has served as a reliable partner, meeting the high-quality demands of the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, as well as the food industry, with customized solutions. The product line of laboratory reactors is ideal for producing base formulations in a pasty consistency with viscosities up to 15,000 mPas. All mixers are designed for a discontinuous (batch) production. These batch mixers are excellent for homogenizing, dispersing, and emulsifying (producing emulsions). The requirement for outstanding homogeneity and ultimately the stability of the mixed product is achieved through a mixing and dispersing unit tailored to the process needs. The well-established laboratory reactors in mixing and dispersing technology, with a usable volume of 1-20 liters, can be expanded for documentation of processes up to systems with complete process visualization. A special ESCO software is available for this purpose. To meet the needs of customers and their desire for reproducibility of processes from the laboratory to production batches, ESCO-Labor has responded by expanding its standard program with additional mixers. The reproducibility of formulations from the laboratory to the production process has been made possible by the simple design of the mixing elements in terms of shape and execution (scale-up). In accordance with GMP guidelines, attention has been paid to a design of all ESCO systems that is largely free of dead space due to the risk of microbial contamination and the danger of cross-contamination. Larger mixers starting from 20 liters (EL20) are often designed as CIP systems for pressure sterilization to keep cleaning times as short as possible during product changes. With the early regulation of succession within the company, the expansion of the program through mixing and homogenizing devices with a volume of 50 to 400 liters, and the aim to continuously adapt the already well-established models EL-1 to EL-20 to market and customer needs, we hope to further expand our achieved market position in the future.
