EMDE ANLAGENBAU UND BOHRTECHNIK STASSFURT GMBH

In August 1980, the company was founded by Harald Emde. With its first and at the time only manufacturing product – the flexible conveyor screw EMDE – LIFT – the foundation was laid for a company that is now known worldwide beyond Germany's borders, with various fields of work across all industries. Very quickly, in the first years, the product range was expanded to include additional plant components for bulk handling, etc. By the mid-1980s, the Big Bag had become a popular container for bulk transport. At the same time, corresponding stations for both emptying and filling were developed. In 1986, the drilling technology program for anchor drilling was added to the manufacturing spectrum. This was quickly expanded to include other important pillars (large pile drilling, exploration drilling, and geothermal drilling). In the same year, a tool manufacturing company specializing in the production of LSR (Liquid Silicon Rubber) molds was acquired due to its very interesting and innovative technology. In 2000, the know-how of a company based in Wurzen/Saxony, Wutra, was acquired. The company, which was taken over with 30 employees, now manufactures bulk handling technology primarily for the construction materials, salt, and fertilizer industries with a tripled number of employees. In 2005, a large operation with its own foundry was acquired at the Staßfurt location through a management buyout.
