The company of Pavlos Pantelidis, ELEN HANDMADE SANDALS, with the well-known logo 'Elen', is a Greek folk art business that has been active in the design and manufacture of leather sandals for over 35 years. Since the inception of the company, its goal has been to offer high-quality handmade leather sandals using the best materials. The leather we use in most of our designs is smooth or waxed Cretan Vachetta leather, tanned with natural materials for both the straps and the sole. It is the most durable leather, which darkens when exposed to light and retains all the characteristics such as texture and the natural marks of the original leather, making it the first choice for the production of classic Greek sandals and bags, as well as other accessories like wallets, etc. The enrichment of our collections has led us to use other types of leather, such as Nubuck leather, which is made from the outer side of the hide, treated to give a velvety texture. A notable contribution to our collections is also the Italian Polished Calf Skin, a glossy leather from calf with great durability against time and stains. Our sandals are a Greek type that connects the past with the present - antiquity with today - through the journey of so many centuries, being supplied to wholesale customers throughout Greece and exported to countries in Europe, Northern and Southern Africa.
