For many generations, the craft of blacksmithing has been rooted in our family. From this tradition, over 50 years ago, my father, Herbert Henkel, began repairing and manufacturing leaf springs alongside general blacksmithing work. This turned out to be such a significant market gap that he soon shifted the entire business to automotive spring services. I, Harald Henkel, also learned the blacksmithing trade and qualified as a master craftsman in 1987. Based on the experiences in the spring industry, "DFF Federn und Fahrzeugteile GmbH" was founded under my leadership in 1994. As a small team, initially with only 2 employees, we continued to focus on springs and their accessories. Later, we expanded our offerings to include other vehicle components related to axles and chassis. Today, DFF has an extensive inventory. In addition to several thousand different springs and spring layers, we stock spring brackets, spring bolts, air spring bags, trailer drawbars, brake parts, and more... commercial vehicle parts. In an attached workshop, we also carry out repairs, custom manufacturing, or (de)montage of leaf springs and springs. Our company headquarters, located in the heart of Thuringia and not far from the geographical center of Germany, allows us to optimally supply our customers. We ship all orders placed by 5:30 PM for next-day delivery by 8:00 AM via overnight express or, when sufficient, normally via freight.
