Water Bag Pipe

Water sack tubes protect pressure measuring devices from pulsations of the measuring medium and from excessive heating. The water sack tubes according to DIN 16282 in U-shape, Form B, and circular shape, Form D, feature a welding connection for pressure extraction to the process and a threaded connection for the pressure measuring device. In the 'commercially available' versions, threaded connections are also present for pressure extraction to the process. U-shaped water sack tubes are designed for horizontal pressure extraction, while circular-shaped versions are intended for vertical pressure extraction. In the water sack tube, condensate forms, which prevents the hot measuring medium from entering the measuring device. We recommend filling the water sack tube with cooling barrier liquid before commissioning the pressure line. Designation: WSU/S/ST
