For conventional wiring of motors, servo-drives or linear units/drives, time and costs for cabling, maintenance and diagnostics are very high. Separate cables from the switch cabinet are used for the power supply and control of every single motor. This procedure does not only require much space, but also causes high costs. With the new CONEC series, a compact hybrid connector system has been developed, combining power supply and data transmission in one single connector. This technology is equivalent to the modern connection and interface wiring technology.

The CONEC connector series with bayonet quick locking system allows safe and quick locking even in areas that are difficult to reach and/or not visible. With the "three-point" bayonet locking it is possible to lock the connection by hand with a 90 ° turn. You get a direct tactile and acoustic feedback as soon as the connector is locked. The connectors are designed according to the draft standard IEC CD 61076-2-011/Ed1. In order to meet the mechanical requirements with regard to tightness to dust and liquid media in industrial environments, no additional tools are required for the new M12 bayonet version by CONEC. When locked, the requirements of protection degrees IP65, IP67 and IP69K are met. In addition, the new series is shock and vibration resistant according to the railway requirements IEC 61373:2010, class 1B. The CONEC bayonet locking variant thus offers simplified handling and at the same time secure transmission of signals and data to the user.

Data communication is also required in outdoor applications. Whether in traffic engineering, in maritime environments or mobile phone applications, long transmission distances and impacts such as heat, rain, snow, salty mist and dust place high demands on all connectors. The IP67 connectors developed by CONEC provide reliable protection against environmental influences and mechanical stress. The broad portfolio includes RJ45, USB/Mini USB and Fibre Optic LC Duplex connectors in plastic, metalized plastic or full metal.

Modern automation solutions need universal communication cabling for the differentnetworks. High speed connectors are demanded in the circuit between the office world and the production level. The M12x1 X-coded connectors have been developed for such applications. These components are designed for transmission technology according to CAT6A and 500 MHz/10 Gigabit, and are standardised to IEC 61076-2-109. The X-coded connectors have 4 shielded pairs, for reliable high speed data transfer, and industrial grade materials for harsh environments, all in the small M12 connector.

Connectors for use in agricultural, construction or municipal technology are often exposed to extreme loads. The overmoulded versions of the AT, ATM, DT, connector series developed by CONEC fulfil at least protection class IP67 (DT connectors even IP67/IP69K). CONEC connectors for use in agricultural, construction and municipal technology therefore guarantee trouble-free operation even in the most difficult applications, such as underground, at sub-zero temperatures or in dusty, hot environments.

The special feature of EtherCAT-P is the combination of superfast EtherCAT communication with the 24V power supply. Data and power (Us) for system and sensor supply with 24V and 3A are provided on a two-wire data pair.

Bus technology has advanced over the last few years in industrial automation. The connectors required for data transmission are very bus-specific in their design. To access the very complex world of bus technology, CONEC offers connectors for Profibus DP, Device- Net and Industrial Ethernet 10 Gbit. Profibus is a manufacture-dependent, open field bus system for a variety of applications in manufacturing, processing and building automation. Industrial Ethernet is the general term for all applications that use the Ethernet standard to network devices used in industrial automation.

Junction systems are used anywhere sensor and actor signals need to be extended quickly and easly for connection to their superordinate control systems. Individual signals are either connected directly to the superordinate system via a homerun cable or via a connection interface. Optional LED displays for signal and power reduce the effort required to track down errors.

CONEC Combination D-SUB Connectors with IP67-rating are suitable for use in environments where increased protection against moisture and contamination is necessary. All IP67 protected Combination D-SUB Connectors are supplied already populated with signal, high voltage, high power or coaxial contacts. This is necessary to provide factory assurance that the connector is properly sealed thus ensuring its reliable protection in harsh environments. The type of protection is defined by IEC 60529 which also specifies the suitability of electrical components for various ambient conditions. CONEC water resistant connectors ensure a continuously secure connection compliant with the IP67 rating. They are dustproof and protected against temporary submersion into water.
