The machine factory Carl KRAFFT & Söhne GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1870 as an iron foundry and machine engineering company. Krafft is a medium-sized family business with around 100 employees at two locations in Düren. Since 1980, the expertise in plant engineering for paper and cardboard production has been realigned towards the manufacturing of rollers and as a specialist for rotationally symmetrical bodies. KRAFFT manufactures turned parts with a diameter of up to 5,500 mm and a length of 15,000 mm, fully covering the needs of many industries. KRAFFT is one of the leading roller manufacturers in Europe. The paper industry remains a main pillar of KRAFFT's products, with service being an important business area alongside roller manufacturing. Our expert team is available for modifications, expansions, or modernizations of existing paper or cardboard production plants. In recent years, KRAFFT has revised its product range and adjusted the technical equipment of production and capacities. The original company headquarters has been largely renovated, and a second production facility has been established. In 1999, the local competitor KELZENBERG + CO. was acquired. In the meantime, the products have been successfully integrated into KRAFFT's product portfolio.
