ORIGIN Red Wine, Médoc Cru Bourgeois Appellation Château Pontet Barrail is located in the commune of Bégadan and has been owned by the Bibey family since 1970. The son, Jérôme, took over in 2002 and has significantly contributed to improving the reputation and quality of the wines. The family work carried out in the Château's vineyard was rewarded with the "Cru Bourgeois" designation, making it a benchmark in the Médoc today. The 17 hectares of Château Pontet Barrail span a clay-limestone and sandy gravel soil, allowing the vines, with an average age of 38 years, to thrive fully. VINIFICATION Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, aged in oak barrels renewed by thirds. GRAPE VARIETIES 60% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot 6% Petit Verdot 4% Cabernet Franc TASTING NOTES Garnet robe with a ruby rim.
