AZ. AGR. AGRISOLE

The Agrisole farm is located at Via Migliara 50 SX, in the municipality of Pontinia, in the province of Latina. The farm has a total area of 32 hectares, of which 10 hectares are covered by greenhouses where tomatoes are grown in the summer, while spinach and agretti are cultivated in the winter. In the open field, agretti, eggplants, and zucchini are grown. The soil is medium-textured with a basic pH of 7/7.5. The farm uses a PRIVA fertigation system for irrigation; over 4000 meters of greenhouses feature soilless cultivation where tomatoes are grown in 18-liter coconut bags. The fertigation system is automatic, with sensors measuring the moisture levels in the blocks and triggering the machine, which then delivers nutrient solutions composed of macro-elements, micro-elements, and pre-acidified water for irrigation. The harvested products are taken to the farm's warehouse where they are processed and packaged using a ULMA machine. The goods are then sold in northern markets and also in some supermarkets, such as Ortofin in Milan and CE.DI.GROS in Rome. The warehouse holds various certifications, including Global Gap, Grasp, and IFS, which are food safety certifications ensuring product hygiene. In the warehouse, zucchini flowers are also processed, placed in trays, and sealed with a flow pack, where a gas mixture of nitrogen and CO2 is injected to prevent the flowers from deteriorating.
