M.S.A Ocean Sailing Projects cvba is celebrating 5 years of activity. We started in sailing events and participated in 2011 in the ARC Rally Portugal. After the rally we set sail to Ponta Delgada, São Miguel-Azores. Picturing the potential in this islands, we decided to stay there and start a charter company: Toque de mar Unip. Lda, in Ponta Delgada, performing sailing activities. As we got to know, The Azores and Flanders have much in common. Flemish traders, specifically from Bruges, had a strong influence in the history of the Azores. We fell in love with Bruges as well as with the Azores, therefore we have launched a new project: -1451: the year that Jacob van Brugge went to The Azores and later created the settlement of Vila da Praia, in Terceira (island). By coincidence, Brugge is located approximately 1451 nautical miles of the Azores.
