Stainless steel powder 434L is a low-carbon ferritic steel powder, in mildly corrosive environments or atmospheric exposures, have corrosion resistance approaching that of some nickel stainless steels. These alloys are oxidation resistant at elevated temperatures. Type 434 stainless steel alloys are ductile and do not work-harden readily. The toughness, defined as resistance to crack propagation or notch strength, of ferritic steels is relatively low, and the ductile-to-brittle transition temperature is at or above room temperature. The corrosion and oxidation resistances of the ferritic steels are directly related to their chromium content. The 17% Cr 434 steel alloys have good corrosion resistance to atmospheric conditions. These alloys are used in a variety of applications where corrosion resistance is more important than strength.

Stainless steel powder 410L is a magnetic grade of stainless steel exhibiting fair corrosion resistance and decent high temperature sintering response as well as good green strength and high compressibility. 410 Steel powder is a magnetic grade of stainless steel. An excellent candidate for automotive sensor ring and mirror mount applications, P410L exhibits fair corrosion resistance and a decent high temperature sintering response. Major performance features of this stainless steel include green strength and high compressibility. Carbon Additions: Fractions of graphite can be admixed for increase hardenability in 410 SS powder. Ferritic stainless steel powdered metallurgy (P/M) technology is specified for longer-term performance and reliability. Good atmospheric and saline corrosion resistance, hot oxidation resistance and elevated temperature yield strength, at the most economical costs are key reasons for using 400 series stainless steel

Stainless steel powder 409L/409CB is a ferritic, weldable grade of stainless steel with key performance features, including high compressibility, enhanced green strength and good sinterability. This stabilized grade provides excellent corrosion resistance and has the capacity to provide high-caliber mechanical properties due to the high temperature sintering response. 409L/409CB’s versatility also results from Cb being less prone to oxidation than Ti. In addition, the oxide is unable to combine with carbon and the Cb forms a stable carbide which prevents coarsening of carbides and grains in the weld’s HAZ. 409L/409CB Stainless steel is a prime candidate for automotive exhaust system applications, among other uses. 409LNI Powder has added nickel for new automotive specifications. Ferritic stainless steel powdered metallurgy (P/M) technology is specified for longer-term performance and reliability. Good atmospheric and saline corrosion

SS 436 is a corrosion and heat resistant ferritic Chromium Steel. It can be polished to appear similar to Chromium plate. The material is magnetic in both annealed and cold rolled tempers. This grade of ferritic stainless steel has shown a greater resistance to ridging or roping defects as compared to type 430 stainless steel. The alloy can be readily blanked and formed. The material can be resistance welded, brazed, and soldered. SS 436 is resistant to atmospheric corrosion and fresh water, but it not resistant to most salts and seawater. It is resistant to scaling by oxidation up to about 1400°F. Available Sizes: SS 436 is available from Hamilton Precision Metals as strip product in thicknesses from 0.001” to 0.050” (0.0254 mm to 1.27 mm) in widths up to 15.0” (381 mm). The material conforms to ASTM A240 and UNS S43600.

Because of its strength, unique density and corrosion resistance, titanium has found applications in many industries. For high quality tubing products, it’s often a better substance to use than competing materials like stainless steels or super alloys. Titanium tubes are light weight and exceptionally corrosion and heat resistantThe density of titanium is about 60 per cent of that of steel- or nickel-based alloys giving significant weight savings in aerospace structures. The tensile strength is better than that of austenitic or ferritic stainless steels. Titanium is exceptionally corrosion resistant and exceeds the resistance of stainless steels in most environments. The metal is non-magnetic too, and has good heat transfer properties, with a melting point higher than steel alloys. Titanium is easily worked. Please note that we have a minimum order value of £10,000.

Our NORSOK-approved Super Duplex alloy 2507 tubes (UNS 32750) are custom-engineered for the most aggressive subsea and downhole oil and gas applications. Advantages include: NORSOK-approval Made to order in specialist non-standard sizes Superior strength and corrosion resistance Short lead times Small batch sizes With 80 years engineering expertise, we specialise in manufacturing corrosion resistant Super Duplex tubes for the increasing hostile temperature and operating environments. Greater Corrosion Resistance Than Standard Duplex Grades Super Duplex stainless like S32750, is a mixed microstructure of austenite and ferrite (50/50) which has improved strength over ferritic and austenitic steel grades. The main difference is that Super Duplex has a higher molybdenum and chromium content which gives the material greater corrosion resistance than standard duplex grades. Please note that we have a minimum order value of £10,000.
