E Glass Cloth treated with aqueous vermiculite dispersion which provides a coating of platelets, which at high temperature melt to form further protection. The treatment increases abrasion resistance and also significantly increases its temperature resistance up to 1000°C (short term) in optimum conditions. Temperature resistance of base cloth is 550°C (continuous) in optimum conditions. Good insulation properties. Low smoke emissions. Withstands hot metal splashes and welding sparks. An alternative to ceramic and silica fibre where greater strength is required at high temperatures

Ceramic coatings in the form of inorganic base sol-gel, form a very thin layer of 35 µ ± 5 yet a very hard (9H Pencil hardness) surface. Ceramic, by nature is an excellent conductor of heat, F-LON® ceramic coatings can be applied in many applications where one or more of the following properties are required: High heat resistance (450°C) Hard surface yet high impact resistance Exceptional wear resistance Good corrosion resistance and/or anti-fouling properties Stain resistance and good clean-ability (equivalent to a vitreous enamel) Low coefficient of friction Higher heat transfer coefficient Excellent Nonstick The newest product in our range is F-LON® 9000 which is cutting-edge technology, based on a Sol-Gel process resulting in coatings with the following characteristics. PTFE-free Zero PFOA / APFO / C8 (oranalogues thereof) Highly temperature resistant (up to 450°C) and possibly beyond Extremely hard (up to 9H)

James Dewhurst manufacture a wide range of laid scrims. Laid scrims are exactly what they say: weft yarns are simply laid across a bottom warp sheet, then trapped with a top warp sheet. The whole structure is then coated with an adhesive to bond the warp and weft sheets together creating a robust construction. This is achieved through a manufacturing process, which was developed in house, that allows manufacture of wide width scrims at widths up to 5.2m, at high speed and excellent quality. The process is typically 10 to 15 times faster than the production rate of an equivalent woven scrim. ** Click for more **
